Recently, the NYPD has been feeling really butthurt about videos “disrespecting” the force. Some officers blamed the leadership while others blamed the communities. No one blamed well-deserved vitriol on the officers themselves and how they comport themselves in the communities they “serve”. A video of a police encounter outside of a methadone clinic posted to Twitter is a perfect depiction of the manner in which the NYPD deals with the public. They demand the utmost respect, obedience, and more while trampling on every facet of human decency.
In the video posted by Twitter user AntifaSevenHills, an unidentified police officer is responding to a scuffle outside of the methadone clinic. The gun-wielding badge bandit is shown approaching the men at Prince and Crosby Streets in broad daylight on Aug. 31. He unholsters his gun and keeps it pointed to the ground.
“Take a f—king walk right now,” the officer said, pointing at one man’s face with the other hand.
“There’s no reason to pull out a gun,” the man says. The cop holsters his gun and begins to walk away.
“Go shoot your f—king heroin and die,” the cop yells as he walks away from the group.
AntifaSevenHills captions the video:
This officer responded to a minor scuffle at a methadone clinic in SOHO today with his gun out & ready to use on folks seeking help. He then told these human beings to “shoot your fucking heroin and die.”
IDENTIFY THIS PIG!
The NY Post reports that no one was arrested during the incident.
The department has been notified of the video.
“The commanding officer has been made aware of the video and is looking into it,” stated a spokesman for the NYPD.
Is this the type of behavior that warrants respect from the public? Does the NYPD expect community members to bow down and respect their authority while belittling and denigrating the very same community members? This type of behavior will not be tolerated by the citizens and the NYPD can expect more hate and vitriol to come their way.
